The great thing about cybersecurity at the moment is that there are plenty of resources to help you learn and get a grip with at very least the basics without having to spend anything other than your time. Both have great learning programs and can give you a great foundation to build on and even prepare you for job roles and certifications and they both also have CTF competitions running all the time.

CTF’s are great for honing the skills you learn from lessons and research. They teach you to think on your feet and think laterally which is an essential skill in the cybersecurity space.
